After spending the night on a sleeper bus from Ho Chi Minh City, we arrived in Da Lat much earlier than expected. Like many overnight journeys, the trip was tiring, and all we wanted was a comfortable place to rest before starting our day.
We had booked a stay at Mercure Da Lat from 23rd to 24th May 2026. Although the hotel’s official check-in time was 3:00 PM, the team had kindly agreed to arrange a room for us by 10:00 AM. However, due to a misunderstanding in our travel schedule, we reached the hotel several hours earlier than planned.
This was when Mercure Da Lat truly impressed us.
Despite our unexpected arrival, Ms. Nhung at the reception greeted us warmly and handled the situation with exceptional professionalism. Understanding that we had travelled overnight, she went above and beyond to arrange a room and ensure we were comfortable.
What stood out most was the genuine willingness to help. There was no discussion of additional charges or inconvenience. Instead, the team simply focused on finding a solution and making us feel welcome.
As an Accor Platinum member, I have stayed at many Accor properties across different countries, but this remains one of the most memorable examples of hospitality I have experienced.
Once we finally settled in, the room proved to be spacious and comfortable, complete with a small balcony overlooking the peaceful surroundings of Da Lat.
The hotel’s location is another major advantage. Da Lat Railway Station, Xuan Huong Lake, and the famous Da Lat Night Market are all within easy reach, making it an excellent base for exploring the city.
Looking back, it wasn’t the room, the facilities, or even the location that made this stay memorable. It was the kindness and professionalism of the people who transformed a simple overnight stay into one of the warmest hotel experiences I’ve had in Vietnam.
As your sister, I am very happy that you have explored something new and started a new journey in your life. I am excited for your new beginnings and all the opportunities that lie ahead.
