For over a decade, my work has taken me across Asia, the Middle East, Europe, North America and beyond. Most journeys begin with a business meeting, a factory visit, or a customer discussion. But the stories I remember rarely happen inside meeting rooms.
They happen on quiet streets in foreign cities.
In conversations with strangers.
In small cafés, airports, bookshops, and train stations.
Sometimes they happen when a local helps a lost traveller find his way home.
Sometimes they come from a book, a chessboard, or a simple cup of coffee.
